Mayor Madeline Rogero held a budget retreat with City Council members and city leadership staff at the John T. O'Connor Center today to discuss the financial state of the City's budget and to introduce new council and staff to the annual budget process.

The recent revelations about Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation have raised questions about the organization and its role with the City.

The City of Knoxville is currently accepting applications from non-profit organizations interested in obtaining a City Community Agency Grant for fiscal year 2012-2013, which begins on July 1, 2012.

After issuing several zoning violations and stop-work orders, the City of Knoxville has taken additional proactive steps against Greenphalt Recycling - including the posting of signs today at the company's two sites.

Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Police Chief David Rausch awarded the Medal of Merit Award to Knoxville Police Department Officer Mike Riddle. Officer Riddle has been with KPD since April 1989.
