Board of Directors
CTV is extremely fortunate to have a strong Board of Directors whose purpose is to set broad organizational policies and provide specific guidance when necessary to address obstacles to CTV’s strategic objectives. Our Board of Directors also reflects the diversity of the community we serve. It consists of representatives from all of the major stakeholder groups – Community Residents, City & County Government Officials, Local Nonprofit & Religious Organizations, Knox Co. Schools and the Cable Service Providers who carry the channels.
In accordance with CTV’s bylaws, Board Members are selected as follows: one is appointed by the City Mayor from his staff (Tank Strickland); one is appointed by City Council to represent the Council (Steve Hall); one is appointed by City Council from religious, charitable, scientific or educational institutions that have shown financial and physical support for the public access channel (Jerry Seale); one is appointed by Comcast Cable Company (Kirk Dale); one is appointed by Knology Media Company (Jason Clabo); one is the Chairman of the Cable Television Committee of the Knox County Commission or the Chairman’s designee (Mark Harmon); and at least 2 are selected from among the community volunteers involved in the production of CTV television programs (Jackie Lane, Beth Waters, Sheila Wittke). The remaining directors are selected by the board based upon expertise and specific needs (Louis Crossley – Legal, Jim Idol – Knox Co. Schools).
