Community Television of Knoxville assists qualified nonprofit organizations in promoting their events through our Community Calendars. One calendar airs on the channel between regularly scheduled programs and at other convenient times throughout the day and night - approximately 6–8 hours each day. The other calendar is our Online Community Events Calendar. It is available 24 hours a day!
ELIGIBILITY
There are only two eligibility requirements for organizations wishing to post their event announcements on our calendars:
Official proof of the organization’s Nonprofit Status. The preferred proof is a copy of a federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit determination letter issued by the IRS.
Payment of the $30 annual Calendar Access Fee, allowing your organization to post up to 3 or 4 different announcements per month during the 12-month period following payment.

If you would like to create a Community Calendar subscription with CTV, please FAX (or mail) a copy of your 501(c)(3) letter to 215-4337 and mail a check for $30 to the address below:

SUBMITTAL GUIDELINES
Each announcement must be a date-specific event - something that will happen on a certain date.
Information must include a TITLE, DATE, BRIEF DESCRIPTION, LOCATION, and CONTACT PHONE.
Fundraising event announcements are encouraged, but mention of specific "prices", "fees", etc. are not permitted.
It is OK to mention that there is a fee, but viewers should be encouraged to use contact information for inquiry.
The easiest way to submit an announcement is to use our online form (see below).
If necessary, you can submit announcements via FAX [215-4337] or regular mail.
However, announcements that are submitted via FAX or regular mail will NOT be included in the Online Calendar.
Lead time is up to you, but we suggest 4 weeks for maximum exposure.
For several reasons, we do not customarily post event announcements more than 4-6 weeks ahead.

NEW! CALENDAR EVENTS . . . submitted online
As a qualified Community Calendar subscriber, you may now submit your event announcements ONLINE. Submitting your announcements online offers several advantages:
It costs nothing extra.
Your announcement is posted immediately on the website.
Your audience is expanded beyond just cable TV subscribers.
Your constituents can view your announcement at any time.
You can upload your logo or another thematic image.
You can return to edit your announcement, if necessary.
Your announcement is retained in our searchable data base.
You will NOT need to FAX or mail them anymore.
Your announcement is inserted in our TV Calendar. (48 hrs)
NOTE: Information included in the TV Calendar will be edited as necessary to allow it to fit on the screen. Remember, posted events should occur within the next 4-6 weeks. If an event is posted on the website more than 4-6 weeks ahead, it will NOT be automatically included in the TV Calendar. To have it included on that calendar, a separate notice must be sent to CTV at the appropriate time.
Once you set up an online user account, it’s really very simple.
To set up Your Online User Account . . . .
Go to www.ctvKnox.org
Click “Create new account” in the “User login” window.
Create a Username and provide Contact Information.
Check your e-mail right away for your Password.
To submit a Calendar Event . . . .
Go to www.ctvKnox.org
Enter your Username & Password in the “User login” window.
Click the ADD CONTENT Tab.
Select “Add a Calendar Event”.
Provide the event “Start date”.
Provide the event “End date”.
Provide a short attention-getting “Title”.
Provide an event description in “Body” field (<100 characters)
Provide the specific “Location”.
Provide contact information for “Further Details”.
Provide a logo or picture to gain attention (optional)
--- Click on “File Attachments”
--- Browse your hard drive to select an image
--- Click “Attach new file”
Click the “Submit” button.
