The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present the 2008 Tennessee Watercolor Society Biennial Exhibition, the 31st statewide juried exhibition showcasing representational and experimental paintings in watermedia by some of the most prominent artists from across the state. Sixty paintings from over 200 entries were selected for the exhibit by the juror, internationally known artist Cheng-Khee Chee, including 17 artists from the East Tennessee area. The show will be exhibited at the Emporium Center for Arts & Culture in downtown Knoxville from June 6 - July 25, 2008.

The East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) is looking for volunteers who love history to help us welcome visitors of all ages to our new signature exhibit “Voices of the Land,” opening in late August. To share our exciting opportunities, ETHS will host two recruitment events for new volunteers on Saturday, July 12 and Friday, July 18 from 10:00 a.m. till noon at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 South Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. We will provide a sneak peak into the new exhibit as part of both sessions!

The fair will be located inside at the Halls Senior Center located off Maynardville Highway on Crippen Road. Signs will be posted. There will be a host of well known vendors offering quality items. The League will be selling breakfast and lunch items along with other refreshments.
Our purpose in having the Craft Fair is to provide a quality event for our community.
Funds raised by the League will be donated to the Legacy Park Foundation. Come early and spend the day with us.
