CTV Policies & Restrictions Now that you have successfully demonstrated your ability to use the portable video equipment, you are permitted to make EQUIPMENT RESERVATIONS, as long as all equipment USE RESTRICTIONS are respected. You may check out the camera by calling to reserve it and signing a EQUIPMENT/FACILITIES RESERVATION FORM when you come to pick it up. Please remember that the normal time to reserve equipment is Monday through Friday from 1 pm till 10 pm. The camera must be returned the same day you check it out. Only CTV-ISSUED TAPES may be used in the camera. Tapes purchased on your own may NOT be used in the camera. Remember, CTV owns the COPYRIGHT to all footage shot with CTV equipment. It may NOT be used for any other purpose without expressed WRITTEN PERMISSION from our General Manager. Also, remember that you must always obtain permission from everyone who appears in your footage using the IMAGE RELEASE AUTHORIZATION FORM. When you return the equipment, RAW FOOTAGE may be stored on the shelves in the edit room until you can edit the footage. Always try to complete your editing within a couple of days, so the tapes can be returned to circulation. Make sure tapes containing raw footage are LABELED with your PROJECT NAME, PROJECT NUMBER, and the DATE you shot the footage. When you are ready to air a completed show, submit it to an Access Coordinator.
