Loading The Mini-DV Tape Next, a BLANK TAPE needs to be inserted into the camera. On top of the camera body there is an EJECT BUTTON. Press the button in the direction of the arrow to open the OUTER TAPE DOOR. The INNER TAPE DOOR will start to rise from the bottom of the tape chamber, and then pop out.  Place the BLANK VIDEOTAPE into the chamber, flap down with gears facing the inside. Gently push the INNER DOOR in, and it will start to descend into the tape chamber. DO NOT close the OUTER DOOR until the INNER DOOR has completely seated at the bottom of the chamber, or it will not position the tape correctly. Close the OUTER DOOR after the INNER DOOR has closed.
